VH GBB and BBB at Hanson on Thursday, January 7th. Boys C game at 4:00 in the school gym. Girls JV in the auditorium downtown next to the post office at 4:00. Boys JV at 5:15 in the gym followed by girls varsity and boys varsity. The games will be streamed on the Hanson YouTube channel. Masks are required. Spectators are asked to social distance by family and leave the gym immediately following the contest.

The VH BBB team will be playing De Smet on Saturday, January 2nd at the Sanford Pentagon. Game time is set for 8:00 PM (not the previously scheduled 7:00 PM). No tickets will be available at the door. The gates for our game will open at 7:40. Masks are required. A livestream with veteran announcers is available for purchase and allows you to watch all of the days games. VH BBB will be playing against Vermillion at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 30th at the Corn Palace as part of the Corn Palace Classic. This game is open attendance, but masks are required. Mitchell Telecom will be broadcasting the game, but not sure if a livestream is available. Go Cougars! There are games throughout the day with the first varsity game at 1:00.

Changes for Tuesday's basketball games in Hurley v. EP-J: There will only be girls JV and varsity games. The JV will start at 5:30 with the varsity to follow. Attendance: Girls vouchers 1-5 will now be good for this game. A makeup date for the boys games will be announced at a later time.
The Viborg-Hurley School District will be limiting attendance and requiring masks at home high school winter athletic events this year. The Viborg-Hurley School District updated the COVID-19 close contact quarantine practices at the school board meeting on December 14th to closely align with the new CDC recommendations on total quarantine length. Information for Tuesday's double-header at Emery: There will only be 2 quarters of girls JV starting at 4:30 (NOT 4:00). The Viborg-Hurley fan section will be on the side opposite the benches. The B-E student section is also on the side opposite the benches (NE corner of the gymnasium). Masks and social distancing are encouraged.
